summer crazy

summer is full full FULL of things to do. and the few days i have at home with the kids during the week (just 2 little short fast days, to be exact) are so jam packed with fun that sometimes my head spins. just in the last 2 weeks, we hit up some awesome stuff on the road and at home. these activities are just the tip of the iceberg of all the things i want to do with them (butterflies at olbrich! canoe the locks! get back to the zoo! go to the csa farm! build a fort! rent a paddle boat!). summer options make me manic.

anyway, here's a little sample of the non stop fun we are having...

learning to do some old world laundry at old world wisconsin

...where we also did a little cow whispering.

there was some surprisingly unenthusiastic riding on the magic school bus...

...and washing harry the dirty dog at bookworm gardens (which, by the way, RULES)

eating popcorn and cheering for the home team at the madison mallards game. this photo captured the moment right before james poured the whole box of popcorn on the ground for the sheer pleasure of pouring the popcorn on the ground.

tapping our toes to the blackstar drumline in the sun on the top of the monona terrace,

and oinking at pigs at the county fair.

sometimes we quack at the ducks at the terrace,

and sometimes we get to work on improving table manner with sticker charts.

got a problem? make a sticker chart. boom.

i even squeezed in a visit with these two beauties, my dear friend stacy and her sweet one year old fiona.
