you know what we did last weekend? like, right after david secured the ncaa office trophy for best tournament bracket,
(this trophy)
but before holy week started.
we danced along to a small part of the uw marching band (which is, as some of you are likely aware, james' FAVORITE THING IN THE WHOLE WORLD), who came to daycare to entertain the little ones. james was out that day, and we were headed out of town, but we all made a special trip to school that morning to get in a little chicken dance, roll out the barrel, and varsity.

bob, libby, and lilly were here (uncle bob, aunt libby, and cousin lilly generate a LOT of excitement in our household), and their visit alone would have been plenty exciting.
but the excitement of the weekend was further increased when we went to a waterpark in the dells and spent all afternoon in the wave pool. after we dragged our tired bodies out of the pool to scrub off the chlorine and viruses, we spent the evening in our condo at the wilderness, having a wonderful time. the kids got to watch frozen again. besides seeing cousins and marching bands (and gorillas), waterparks and frozen are some of the kids' absolute favorite things right now. they really couldn't believe their luck.

and to top it all off, when we got home after the waterpark, we made it to camp randall for the second half of the spring game/scrimmage. good weather, good times. and after the game, there was good beer and onion rings at the union.

it was a good weekend.
