suddenly summer

warmth! sunshine! finally. we're celebrating the arrival of spring by marveling at the amazing explosion of purple blooms on the magnolia tree. it never gets old. and when the purple tree is done blooming, the yellow magnolia tree (her name is elizabeth, as we've been told by neighbors who know these things) will bloom. i love my house, but i really love my yard.


some of us (ramona) claim to not be tired, not need a nap, then promptly fall asleep in the cozy bouncy warmth of the bike trailer. i'm celebrating warm weather by dragging these kids everywhere by bike.

warm weather also means ice-cream headaches,

and getting filthy at tenney beach.

 

warm weather isn't required for impromptu costume parties with the neighborhood besties, but i just had to include this picture because i love it. betty wins best costume. goggles and cape? winning smile? yep.
