as i dig through a year of photos (which, in the case of the staple family, means over 6000 photos) for a variety of year end projects, including the ever-elusive, never-to-be-completed baby book*, i keep stumbling upon great photos. of course, these gems give me pause. invariably, i interrupt david and his homework to look at the picture and recall the memory, then i might post the picture to facebook, or apply a filter in instagram, or write a little blog post about the whole thing....and then, get back to....whatever it is that i was doing.

anyway, i love this picture of james and ben. this is how they sleep every night. i am sure the american academy of pediatrics would strongly disapprove. i love it.


*dear kids, your baby books will most likely be completed by kindergarten. don't hold me to it.
