willy street festival*

each year, the close of the summer festival season is marked by the willy street festival.  it is arguably my favorite of madison's summer festivals.  the food is great, the music is great, the people watching is great, and the parade is... well... unparalleled.

here, the bubble car, an institution of the willy street parade gets all juiced up with bubble juice.

the truly remarkable loon, one of the most truly remarkable residents of the williamson-market neighborhood, puts on his juggling/comedy/plate-spinning show.

we spent a lot of time at the festival this past weekend.  as the kids get older, things like festivals are becoming easier and easier, which is really nice.  i'm hoping this trend continues.
