baby robins

there is a robin family nesting atop our garage motion light, and we've been enjoying the show for the last month. the mother robin (or maybe the father robin, or a babysitter, or, you know, whatever they do) sits on the nest, and occasionally flies away for food. ramona gets a real kick out of it.

however, in the last 3 days, neither david nor i have seen an adult robin sit upon or visit the nest. we've been feeling sad, thinking that perhaps the babies died or were abandoned. but then! today! a parent, a beak full of worms, and three babies straining their bald ugly heads up, mouths open! life in the nest has been confirmed, and i'm feeling a great sense of relief.
