i know this isn't news to most people, but i am happy to see that the nesting pair of bald eagles in decorah, iowa, are at it again. they have 2 fuzzy little babies and one unhatched egg, and it is totally adorable and enchanting to see. sometimes it's a bit boring when one of the parent eagles is just sitting sitting sitting on the nest, so ramona has taken to shouting at the computer screen "stand up, eagle!". silly toddler and her magical thinking.

I remember mom and dad waking us up early to go to eagle river and see the eagles fishing by the frozen river over the waterfall that kept the current moving...
