thanks to our poor timing, there were no seats left at the overture center to watch the yo-yo guy. we were stuck peering down at the show through a hole in the floor. ramona didn't seem to mind, and made herself right at home on the floor.

these 2 are pretty serious bus riders. hold on tight, guys.

later, ramona got her first pedicure. i've never seen her sit so still, act so excited and curious. (except, of course, when i'm combing her hair. then, same thing. she loves it. she's so my kid.)
(also, sorry to people who don't want to see pictures of my feet. i guess that group includes me, because...yuck.)

lest you think it's all hair and nail time for the staples, ramona also got bundled up in her best moth-eaten packers stocking cap and did some dangerous ice-covered-boulder scrambling down at the only-sort-of frozen lakefront. this was obviously daddy-daughter time.

there was also some sibling time, including a little steam rolling on the floor,
and story time on the couch.
