party time at the staple house has changed over the years. parties are now special events, in honor of children, and both begin and end before the sun goes down. ramona's birthday party was no exception; we celebrated her 2nd birthday and her friend lucy's 1st birthday on saturday, in the early afternoon, with sober adults, wild toddlers, and happy babies. there was more food (chili, meatballs, vegetables, cupcakes) consumed than alcohol. oh, how times have changed.
