here's what we did. we had turkey and gravy and stuffing and potatoes and pie and brandy old fashioneds at our favorite local supper club, the avenue. (ramona ate a grilled cheese sandwich and stared vacantly at the tv. proud parenting moment). don't know what a supper club is? its one of the best restaurant genres, and a uniquely wisconsin experience. even the new york times agrees.

we colored some turkeys, and experimented with flesh as a coloring surface.
outdoor christmas lights were hung. these are fancy solar-powered LED lights from my friend stacy's employer, Environmental Lights, in san diego. they work well, and we highly recommend.
let's get a close up on david and his trendy baby-wearing style.
also, david trimmed his beard this weekend (hooray!) but i don't have any photos of it. trust me, it looks nice(r).
nana and papa snuggled with their youngest grandchildren,
and ramona whipped up a pecan pie.
later, we explored tenney park and the beaver bite marks on the local trees. our beaver hunt was fruitless, unless you consider a toddler running around the park shouting "beaver! beaver house! tree!" at the top her lungs success, because then...well, success.
and trip to the pool at nana and papa's hotel capped off a great weekend.

We had a wonderful visit. Next year Ramona can bake the pies for Harvest Fest.
