beach time

our favorite santa cruz beach is seabright, and we spent a lot of time there last week.

it can be sunny, so a good hat is recommended.
beach games played include: leap frog,
running into the (thankfully small) waves,
burying the baby,
and a little sand boogie boarding.



it turns out, pushing a stroller across the beach is real pain. we did it exactly once. it also feels really nerdy to have strollers on the beach.
seabright beach is across the street from a huge grey whale sculpture. ramona is still talking about that whale.
after all that beach time, a good outdoor shower is pretty sweet. ours got a lot of action from ramona, who was tall enough to turn it on and smart enough to know that the longer a warm shower, the better.
