It's good to support your local store. In our case, our local store seems to be Home Depot, and last night when I asked Eloise what she wanted to do when she grew up she reiterated her intention to work at Home Depot so that she can use the big movable metal staircases in the aisles. Her decision to work there was also swayed by the fact that she was given a child size Home Depot apron there one time...
Some of my best memories of growing up are with my Dad at the local hardware and also the lumber company. Whenever I smell gumballs my mind goes to Capital Lumber on Leonard St. which smelled like fresh cut lumber and gumballs.
