ray and wes

ramona and wes, her little buddy from california, had a reunion in minneapolis this weekend. wes's parents, our dear friends chris and olivia, were there too. our visits are always too short, but so so nice. this time, we met at olivia's sister kim's house, dined on afghani pizza (which we highly recommend), and tried to make our one-year-olds play with one another.

playing together? not so much. wes plays with a hammer, and ramona plots ways to steal said hammer. ramona also has a ton of pizza sauce smeared behind her left ear, in her hair, and on her cheek. natch.

the obligatory posed baby photo shoot was a prolonged session in restraining tired and wiggly toddlers, and did not result in a good photo of the babies together. everyone got an A- for effort.

they were a lot easier to prop up and photograph one year ago. i'm just saying.
