a play table features a miniature wooden madison, with some of my least favorite (mg&e smoke stacks) and most favorite (bascom hall) madison buildings.
the museum has lots of re-purposed (re-claimed?) stuff, which appeals to me greatly. also, how does one get their hands on old piano keys to make a bench, or on old school gymnasium flooring to floor a museum (or, more specifically, the awesome house i am always daydreaming about building)?
ramona was enchanted by a hallway filled with the faces of children and babies.
a cozy little reading nook made a nice place for a tired one year old to rest.

Hi - Glad you are enjoying your museum membership! Thank you for sharing your photos and commentary with your blog visitors!
I can't wait to visit it with her. When our kids were young we had to go to Lansing to see a Children's Museum.
Are these the Photo Booth pictures that Marta sends you every morning? Very happy ladies!
If you ever want to start the home-building process, I have a friend who just built the highest-rated LEED home outside of Appleton. He has a reclaimed gym floor room! He'd definitely be able to help you get started.
The museum looks great -- and so does Ramona! :)
