rose has only laid 3 eggs, but we can already see consistent increase in the length and circumference of the eggs.

Are you saving Roses's eggs?
we are getting 2-3 eggs per day. we can keep up as long as we don't go several days in a row without using any (e.g. out of town for thanksgiving, sick with the flu, etc.). it takes a little while to catch back up.
