into the woods

the 5th wedding anniversary is the "wood" anniversary, so we celebrated by heading into the woods. we went camping in door county, and had a lovely time. in honor of 5 years of wedded bliss, we also burned wood. you know, for good luck.

ramona is a camping natural--she loves dirt, eats leaves, and sleeps well outside. we thinks she loves camping. and, really, what's not to love? you can investigate leaves and other detritus while your dad sets up your tent,
you get snuggled warmly in the morning,
breakfast at the picnic table is full of excitement and wonderment,
and the woods and water are a most lovely place to spend time.

we went to many of the same places that we went on our honeymoon to door county 5 years ago. what a difference 5 years can make.
