the weekend-long camp started off with a trip to our favorite pizza parlor (fricano's, grand haven michigan. go there. you won't regret it). i got the everything-but-anchovies. david got anchovies. ramona had green beans.
there was a stroll on the boardwalk,
the camp menu included hot dogs and s'mores, and that's just fine with us.
the camp founders, nana and papa, are surrounded by their 4 little campers.
it was a busy weekend, but ramona found time for staring agape and lovingly at her daddy.

where do i sign caleb up for nana camp 2011?
Nana Camp wasn't quite as organized in the 1980's (I don't recall any t-shirts), but some of the activities were the same: Fricano's, beach time etc. Although, I doubt any bowling pins were burned this year.
Nana has more time for organization now. Many of the activities are the same but with an extra generation and campers from 3 states it requires more planning. Perhaps Caleb can join us when we do camp at the state park.
