festival season is upon us on the near east side of madison. the first festival--the marquette waterfront festival--was a bit rainy, but enjoyable.
doesn't it sort of look like david is wearing an umbrella hat in that photo? kind of like this guy:our second neighborhood festival of the summer is this weekend. la fete de marquette, a french-creole-inspired event with good music, lots of hula hoops, delicious local food, and plenty of capitol beer, is this weekend and is our favorite of the festivals. get ready for some zydeco action!
