winter's first blizzard is upon us. we are supposed to get 12-16 inches of snow tonight, and governor jim doyle has declared a state of emergency. as a result, marta's clinic is closed tomorrow and my contracts exam has been postponed until thursday. so, marta and i strapped on our nordic skis and hit the streets for a late-night cross-country expedition. here are some snaps of our outing:

A state of emergency, are you kidding me. They didn't even close any schools in the Houghton area and we're getting slammed. The skiing downtown looks awesome!
I have to agree with you s. craig. i feel like people have gotten soft.
Is another day to study a good thing or a bad thing?
did the chicken coop fair in the blizzard?
