i think people are either really fond of garrison keillor, or driven crazy by him. we listen to a prairie home companion, read his weekly column, and enjoy the writer's almanac when we catch it (we should probably get the podcast). marta and i both grew up listening to garrison keillor with our parents on npr and have wonderful memories of it. as i type, i'm listening to my favorite segment of a prarie home companion, tales from lake wobegon. he has quite a phenomenal voice. i really like the sound of him, and i like what he has to say.
marta and i also have red sneakers.
"that's the news from lake wobegon, where all the women are strong, the men are good looking, and the children are above average."

I was listening tonight on the way home from work too.. and i catch the writer's almanac on my way in usually.
I remember my parents had a whole bunch of episodes on tape, and they would have the family listen to them on long car trips...
