surprise!

last friday, dear-friend-from-college jackie came to visit from chicago. our other friend steph was coming to madison from milwaukee on saturday to join us. instead, she surprised us with an early friday arrival. it was wonderful

but there was another surprise. kate flew in from tahoe, and then hid in the bathroom at paisan's until the exact right moment. then she surprised me with her presence (jackie and steph already knew). the following photos document the surprise quite well.
