this is our new cat aretha franklin. she came from the humane society in this nifty box.
she is six months old and not more than a couple of pounds. she enjoys cuddling, racing from one end of the house to the other, splashing in water, and licking marta's palms.

we usually call her "aretha franklin", but marta sometimes calls her "franklin."
