storm wrap-up

the rain stopped on sunday morning and we ventured out to survey what effect the high seas had on seabright beach. we were astonished at just how much debris had been strewn around the beach.

this is what would appear to be an entire redwood tree washed onto the beach:

this massive chuck of wood is a good 40 yards beyond the normal high tide line:

there were many more huge chunks of wood and thousands of smaller pieces. it was quite an impressive display of mother nature's force.

wow, I know you mentioned redwoods...but I didn't realize how big the trunks were! I have to walk down there tomorrow! - Beth

Those redwoods look to be a good 40' above the normal high tide line.
