we went to la rocca's corner tavern on columbus in north beach, san francisco, on saturday morning with 100 other wisconsin alumni. we watched the badgers play The ohio state. amid the boisterous cheers, 9 am miller lite, and delicious brats, we found ourselves warmed with the comraderie of alumni. we were so excited that we bought t-shirts.

Was La Rocca's open on Willy Street before you left?
Kudos to your team spirit. We can't get the games on down here, which is a bummer. Also, this post makes me want to hunt down a brat like nobody's business...and a tasty Miller Lite :P
la roca's was open when we lived on willy street, but it escaped our minds while we were at la rocca's in san francisco. there isn't any connection though. the one in s.f. just sees the bay area badgers as a great way to fill up their bar with heavy drinkers at 9am. it worked.
