this is a video i (david) made of a portion of my bike ride home from work. i made it by strapping our mini-tripod to my handle bars. in the video i claim it is my whole ride home, but i stopped filming after exiting the ucsc campus. the roads got pretty bumpy, and i decided it was a bit dangerous to keep trying to adjust the camera while dealing with auto traffic. plus, i don't need any creeps following me home. the music featured in this short is by old crow medicine show and the thrills. you can imagine that it is the music stuck in my head on my ride home.
links to this and our other homemade films are available on the video page of our website.

Very nice video of your ride home. I was hoping that you were going to make it safely and that the video didn't become a very visual end of your career. Dad
Just thought you might be interested in the following from the CHP website (http://www.chp.ca.gov/html/bicycleriding.html). Please note the example provided.
"Bicycle riders and automobile drivers follow the same rules and have the same rights. Example: Cars must stop at a stop sign, and bicycles must stop at a stop sign."
Sorry to sound like a hardass, but I would feel like a hypocrite wearing a WWPD (What Would Ponch Do) bracelet if I didn't try to bring stop-sign scoflaws such as yourself into compliance. I know you understand.
Those stops signs are computer generated. We added them in post-production to make the ride seem more thrilling.
Ohhh thank heavens, I knew there had to be a safe explanation.
I too have been riding my bike to and from work/school. My ride is pretty much straight down Halsted. I go past Cabrini-Green, over the river onto Goose Island, over the river again, past the cement plant, under the Metra tracks, then over other Metra tracks. It has cut my commute to a mere 13 minutes and 26 seconds.
Hi
Marta and David;
Was working the opther day and Leslie showed me your page. Great Job. was wondering if you bought a program for this or just did it on your own.
Your Peru pictures were fantastic. I loved them as they reminded me of my medical project there as I went to almost the same places
Anyway doing well
