What does it do on the equator?

As for as I know, the coriolis effect is noticable only on a large scale motions such as winds. The spin of water in a draining toilet or sink is determined mostly by the way the toilet or sink was filled. I guess that undergraduate Oceanography class I took was worth something afterall.

Anyway, I am jealous of your great trip. It sounds like a lot of fun. I am sure your the other students at your future child's school will enjoy viewing slides of your international vacation during student counsel elections (Marta, you may need to ask Company about this).

I heard recently that all the talk of it spinning in the opposite direction south of the equator is total BS. Please confirm.
